• • • Russia and Belarus signed an annual pro forma balance sheet for 2019
Following the meeting of the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Zayets on September 19, 2018, attended by the State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Grigory Rapota, the Union State pro forma balance sheet of supply and demand for 2019 concerning milk, dairy products, meat and meat products was finally signed.
According to the agreements, the bulk of mutual deliveries by main dairy items are generally preserved, whilst the supplies of certain Belarussian meat products are agreed to be expanded.
The sheet compiling procedure has been used for many years to harmonize mutual interests in agritrade between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. In January-July of 2018, the Russia-Belarus turnover increased by 2.7% up to $2.9 billion. At the same time, our exports for the period increased by 20.5% to $0.7 billion.
