February 14. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has held a session named “Export of agricultural products: a regional agenda” within the framework of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Sergey Levin, heads of regions, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, regional agriculture management bodies and business community.

Last year, agricultural exports from Russia grew by 20% to $25.9 billion. For further growth and achievement of export targets by 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture has developed and has been implementing the federal project “Export of Agricultural Products”, which identifies measures to increase the volume of agricultural production and create export-oriented infrastructure, as well as identify priority markets.

As was noted during the discussion, the implementation of these tasks is a new stage in the development of agriculture, which will serve as a driver for the modernization of the Russian agro-industrial complex. The Russian state will provide the necessary support to the regions to ensure that all the established plans are fully implemented.
