The investigation analyzed quail productivity of the “Golden Giant” breed fed by the “Agrofit” additive in 2016–2018 at Russian Timiryazev State Agrarian University. Day-old quails from one sitting were placed in the BVM-F-4C cage on the same tier considering the uniformity of their body weight (70 heads in a group — research test and 200 heads in the group — farm scale trial). Growing and feeding happened regardless their gender. Keeping parameters (cage density, light intensity, feeding, water supply, temperature and humidity) met the Recommendations on Quail Keeping and were the same for all the groups during the entire experiment. Infrared lamps IKZK-250 performed as heaters, installed over each cage of the upper tier. Feeding occurred according to the Recommendations: contents of exchange energy and crude protein in feed stuff for up to four-week old quails — minimum 300 kcal and 28%, from five- to seven-week old quails — minimum 275 kcal and 17%, respectively. Quail age — from 1 day to 42 days. Feeding quails with “Agrofit” (72 g/t of feed stuff) increased their body weight by 1–4%, daily weight gain — by 13–16% and decreased feed costs per product unit (for 1 kg of weight gain — by 7–12%).
