• • • Effect of grain treatment on root rot and spring wheat productivity

The experiment tested the influence of fungicides “Dividend star” and “Vintsit”, biopreparations “Biosil” and “Planriz” as well as their mixtures on root rot infection, seed quality, number of productive stems, grain number and weight per one head, 1000 kernel weight and productivity of hexaploid wheat “Buryatskaya 79” under the lab and field conditions. Seed treatment both by pure biopreparations and their mixtures with fungicides had positive effect. In lab fungal infection dropped by 10,5–17,3%, number of viable seedlings increased by 1–8 pcs, root weight — by 0.02–0.11 g, sprout weight — by 0.08–0.15 g. In field infection level grew from germination to harvesting time: in the control variant (no seed treatment) — from 72 to 82–85%, in the treated ones — from 59–68 to 63–76%. The difference in the infection level between the control and experimental variants made up 35 and 11–20% at tillering time, before harvesting — 41 and 30–38%, respectively. Seed treatment by pure biopreparations improved wheat productivity by 0.19–0.20 t ha-1 while by mixtures with fungicides — by 0.41–0.51 t ha-1.
