• • • The 27th session of the Russian-Korean Commission on Fisheries is over
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia – Head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov took part in the 27th session of the Russian-Korean Commission on Fisheries in Seoul, and also met with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea Kim Yong Chun. During the 27th session of the Russian-Korean Commission on Fisheries, the sides presented their positions on bilateral cooperation in the field of fisheries and held consultations on the issues of the open part of the Sea of Okhotsk. In the field of scientific and technical cooperation, Russia and the Republic of Korea reviewed the results of joint scientific research in 2017, agreed on a work plan for 2018 and agreed to discuss promising areas for further research on marine mammals at the annual meeting of the North Pacific Marine Science Organization.
It was decided that Russia and the Republic of Korea will develop a plan for joint investment projects in the field of aquaculture until 2020. The annual meeting on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of fisheries will be held in Busan in June 2018.
