• • • Effect of fodder additives on blood biochemical composition of milking cows

Experiment, conducted on Simmental cows, revealed positive influence of fodder additives on blood biochemical composition. Cows consumed 19% of dry brewing waste and feed-stuff, enriched by 20% of “Felutsen” (carbohydrate-vitamin-mineral concentrate), providing 1 head with 11.8 energetic feed units and 1408.2 g of digestible protein daily. Introduction of above mentioned components to a diet positively affected cow blood composition. Protein and mineral content in blood varied insignificantly among groups. In the beginning of the experiment second experimental group exceeded the first one and the reference group in total protein by 0.42 and 0.44%; values being 0.69 and 0.44%, respectively, in the end of the research. Variation of albumin and globulin fractions in the second group occurred due to more active metabolic processes. Most of the mineral components, such as Ca, P, Mg, Fe, K and carotene, were stably presented in blood serum, regardless of the state of cow reproductive system and lactation. Therefore, dry brewing waste and feed-stuff with “Felutsen” had positive effect on blood biochemical composition, exchange processes and livestock health in general.
