Current challenges of agriculture require the introduction of new, cost-effectively cultural practices for different crops in the Republic of Tajikistan. In different years, we conducted a number of studies to assess the efficiency of three agricultural practices: applying a complex microbiology fertilizer (CMF) in 2012–2015; mixed sowing a several forage crops in 2014–2016; different irrigation methods in 1997–1999. In the Hissar valley, applying CMF led to increasing yield of wheat by 133 %, corn by 136 %, allium by 277 % in comparison with the control. Growing medium-fiber and fine-fiber cotton, applying CMF provided increase in profits by 38.4 and 37.4 % in comparison with the control. Mixed sowing of four forage crops (Jerusalem artichoke + sorghum + sunflower + corn) led to increasing biomass yield by 53.5 % compared to the planting Jerusalem artichoke alone (control), as well as to rise in profitability by 22.94 %. Binary sowings with Jerusalem artichoke were also more productive in comparison with the control. Under drip irrigation, the yield of wheat increased by 61.2 %, corn by 53.7 %, cotton by 59 % compared with the furrow method. In addition, drip irrigation led to the optimization of irrigation rates per unit of production. The introduction of the presented cultural practices will allow the farmers of the Republic of Tajikistan to increase the productivity of the main crops and the economic efficiency of production.
