The meeting between Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Konstantin Savenkov and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines in the Russian Federation Carlos Deymek Sorreta was held to discuss issues related to the mutual supply of agricultural products in Moscow on March 7.
The representative of the Philippine side noted that the island nation is interested in importing Russian poultry meat. In this regard, the veterinary service of this country conducted an inspection of four domestic establishments and is now analysing the information obtained during the inspections. In addition, the Philippines sent to the Rosselkhoznadzor veterinary requirements for imported fish and fishery products. Konstantin Savenkov noted that Russia hopes to have the opportunity to supply these products to the Philippines soon.
The Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor also stressed that the Russian side guarantees the safety of all domestic goods of animal origin. This is due to the introduction of electronic veterinary certification in the country, which provides full traceability of products at all stages of its production. He said that Russia is gradually switching to electronic document circulation with other states. Electronic veterinary systems of Russia and some other countries have already been integrated.
