GRANT FOR THE CREATION OF AN ENERGY EFFICIENT BIOGAS REACTOR
As part of the contest “Energy of Youth”, established by the Global Energy Association, a graduate student of the Belgorod State Agrarian University received a grant. This is how his work on creating an energy efficient biogas reactor capable of producing fertilizers was noted. The reactor not only allows efficient processing of a large amount of harmful wastes into quality fertilizers, but also increases the efficiency of biogas output to 60%, while allowing to reduce electricity consumption to 10.7% compared to typical similar solutions.
The technical solutions most closely related to the proposed development are developed by companies in Europe, Asia, the USA. However, there is no division of the capacity into chambers, which makes the fermentation process ineffective, since different temperatures are necessary for diverse types of biomaterial. The created biogas reactor also provides for more than one pair of agitators, which solves the problem of crust formation in the substrate.
