Monitoring of crop productivity helps in developing adaptive methods for field amelioration. The research analyzes statistics of data on perennial grass productivity. It took place on agroecological transect, narrow field of 1300 m in length, crossing main microlandscape positions. Sward productivity assessment, happened in respective plots, varied in environmental conditions. They lied across the transect regularly at 40 m from each other. The experiment was conducted in 1998–2016. Data from the Tver Meteorological Station aided in analyzing climatic parameters. Multiple regression performed as a method for statistical analyses on the base of software STATGRAPHICS plus. Models of multiple regressions, obtained for entire agrolandscape and its parts, described the effect of weather parameters on hay yield.

The experiment revealed patterns for plant response on weather conditions. Both weather and landscape characteristics affected greatly grass yield. Agroclimatic conditions influenced significantly first- and second-year swards at various growth stages. Negative climate effect occurred for productivities of old first-year swards. Swards were dependent on soil marshiness and inversion processes. To improve fodder production, it is recommended to apply soil drainage, regulation systems for high temperature. First- and second-year swards should be cut twice to ease grass wintering and spring germination.
