• • • Session VII of CIS Plant Quarantine Coordination Council

On July 5-6, 2018 Session VII of CIS Plant Quarantine Coordination Council was held in Dushanbe (the Republic of Tajikistan). Topical issues and activities of authorized bodies in the field of plant quarantine in the CIS member states are to be discussed at the session of the Coordination Council. The meeting was attended by representatives of national organizations for quarantine and plant protection of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Tajikistan.

The participants of the meeting discussed the quarantine phytosanitary condition of territories of the CIS member states in 2017, the problems of studying and using pheromones of quarantine pests in the territories of the CIS member states and the experience of the VNIIKR in this direction, the expediency of drawing up a list of quarantine pests of the CIS member states, quarantine phytosanitary security of the territories of the CIS member states in the light of changes in the regulatory legal base of the EAEU member-states. The draft regulation on interlaboratory proficiency testing was also reviewed.

The next meeting of the CIS Plant Quarantine Coordination Council will be held in the Republic of Moldova in the second quarter of 2019.
